My name is Kristina Olsson and I was born in 1952. I spent my first
nineteen years in Ankarsrum, a village in Småland in the south
eastern part of Sweden. Since 1975 I have lived in .
In the past I have written some plays for stage and radio. In 2000
my first novel "Tre små Rograr" was published.
All my works are in Swedish, but below you will find a short presentation
in English of my three novels "Tre små Rograr", "Alldeles röd" and "Det som ingen ska veta".
"Tre små Rograr" is a story about a woman who gives birth to
triplets, three small boys who are totally rejected by their father.
Their fathers name is Roger, and the title of the novel alludes to
the said father who does not care for his children. It is a sad story
containing a lot of anger and powerlessness, but it is also a story
of love between men and women and love of children.
"Alldeles röd" is my second novel, published in 2001. Two young
women, Isabell and Eva are activists in the anti-Vietnam war movement
in Sweden in the early Seventies. Both are Maoists, Isabell with a
stronger belief than Eva. Love and love problems as well as friendship
and politics are themes of this story.
My third novel, "Det som ingen ska veta", was published in February
2003. It is a story about love and marriage and the gap between who
we are and who we want to be. What are we dreaming about and how does
our dreams affect love?
